Beauty

Beauty! This wide, ambiguous word. We all know the movie which is called “Snow White and the Witch”. I have seen it more than four times. Last week, our teacher Sahar started to discuss the idea of beauty in the class since we are all girls, then she asked us to watch this movie again. She asked us also to analyze it in order to understand the lesson behind it.

I watched the movie with my mother, and this helped a lot to get a clear definition of beauty. In the movie, the witch is Snow White’s stepmother. She hates Snow White, and she tries to kill her. Her stepmother has a talking- magic mirror, and she keeps asking it this question: “ "Magic mirror in my hand, who is the fairest in the land?" and the response is “ Snow White”. At that moment, I realized that her stepmother is not ugly, but she doesn't believe in herself, and she hates everyone around her. This definitely affected her external beauty. On the other hand, Snow White may not be considered the prettiest, but she spreads love, positivity, and joy everywhere. Yes! Beauty comes from the inside. It stemmed from your soul, your beliefs, and your inner love. My mother told me once that beauty will never shine if there is inner darkness. Beauty is not about your physical appearance. It is not about your skin tone. It is about your pure heart. You can’t create a perfect image of beauty unless you show it in your actions among people you are living with.

Love yourself first, so others can see your light. Beauty exists everywhere. Look around you, you will find green trees, blue sky, clouds as cotton candy. All of those pictures are under the name of beauty as well.
