Fez City

Morocco is a picturesque country. It is known for its charming nature and landscapes, such as the beaches overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. In addition to forests. Morocco has many beautiful cities, including Casablanca, Marrakesh, and Meknes. In this essay, I will talk about my trip to Morocco, especially Fez city. I will also talk about the places I visited, and the activities I did there.

Fez is located in northern Morocco, in the northwest of the Atlas Mountains. Our flight landed at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca. Then, we got on a bus to take us to Fez, which is about 3 hours from Casablanca. As soon as we arrived, I was enchanted by its buildings, nature, and the traditional costumes of the people. The tour guide told us that Fez is the second largest city in Morocco. It was the former capital of the country. Because of the beauty of this city and its importance in the region, it was called "Athens of Africa" and "Mecca of the West". We started wandering the neighborhoods and alleys of Fez. We visited the most famous landmarks to take memorial photos. Such as Fes el Bali, the city's oldest neighborhood. In addition to Bou Inania Madrasa, University of al-Qarawiyyin, Blue Gate, and Borj Nord Arms Museum. After that, we went to a local restaurant to eat. We tried traditional dishes. Such as Couscous, Harira soup, Pastilla meat pie, Zaalouk salad. Of course, we enjoyed drinking the mint tea that all cities in Morocco are famous for.

My trip to Fez will remain engraved in my memory. I love this city and its amazing people. I wish to visit Fez again in the future. I also wish to visit all the cities in Morocco, to discover this wonderful country.
