Traveling is one of the most enjoyable things in life. It makes us see new things and learn more about the cultures in this world. I spent one of my vacations in Turkey. It was an amazing experience. In this essay, I will talk about this beautiful country, and everything I learned about it.


Turkey is located east of the Mediterranean Sea. One part of Turkey is in Asia, while another part of it is in Europe. There are many countries that surround Turkey's borders. Such as: Syria, Greece, and Iran. Turkey has a lot of airports. For this, it welcomes many flights every day. Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey. It has a nickname, which is "The City of Seven Hills". This is because it was founded on seven hills. On the other hand, Ankara is the capital of Turkey. It is also the second largest city in the country. Ankara is known for its political importance, while Istanbul is full of fun activities. There are other major cities in Turkey. Such as: Bursa, Izmir, Adana, Antalya, and Trabzon. Like other countries in the world, Turkey has places and destinations that represent its history and beautiful culture. Such as: Aya Sofya Mosque, Ataturk Museum, Butterfly Valley, Grand Bazaar, Princes’ Island, Galata Tower, and Blue Mosque. Turkish cuisine is full of tasty dishes that you have to try when you visit Turkey, like: Simit, Manti, Shish Kebab, Lokum, Borek, and Baklava.


Turkey is known as the "Land of the Four Seasons". It is a wonderful country, and it has a breathtaking nature. Tourists from all over the world visit Turkey. Millions of people go to this country to enjoy its beauty and attractions. I hope to visit Turkey again in the future, and repeat this experience again.
