Travel is one of my interests. Every time I travel with my family, I feel incredibly happy. It's because I get to know other cultures and have great adventures. However, I had problems communicating with people who speak English. My English was poor, and this prevented me from enjoying a lot of things while traveling. For example, I encountered problems communicating with the foreign friends I made. I couldn't understand them very well, and I couldn't tell them the things I wanted to say. I was having problems in markets, restaurants, hotels, and even taxis. This was embarrassing and upsetting to me. But at the same time, it made me realize the importance of learning English. It encouraged me to start learning this language to use it in communication and expressing myself. It took me about a year to learn English. Now, I can speak and understand it well. During the learning journey, I found that there are reasons other than communication and travel to learn English. For example, English is the most spoken language in the world. It is the language of many vital sectors. Such as business, technology, medicine, media, and diplomacy. In addition, English increases the chances of working in prestigious jobs. In universities, there are many majors and subjects taught in English as well. For that reason, learning this language will help me in my university life. Certainly, learning English develops personality, increases self-confidence, and helps achieve a prosperous future.
My life changed for the better after learning English. I have many friends who speak this language now. I use English to introduce them to our culture and to the Arabic language. Learning English has made me a better person. I will continue to improve my English until I can speak it fluently.
