Preparing Pizza
I love baking. I keep asking my mother to bake bread, cakes, and muffins. One of the things that I like its smell when it is baked is pizza. It is an Italian dish, and it is really popular in the Middle East. We don’t eat it very often because my father doesn’t like fast food that much. Yes! He considers it as a fast-food dish; that’s why I eat it with my friends, or I buy it from my school.
We have a subject at school which is called “Vocational education” in which we learn how to prepare some dishes, how to take care of the house, and how to fix stuff at home. In one of the classes, teacher Lama divided us into groups and brought many ingredients such as flour, peppers, corn, ketchup, and so on and so forth. She wanted to create a competition between the groups under the name of “ Prepare the Best Pizza Ever”! We started the competition, but no one knows the recipe. Teacher Lama distributed a sheet that includes all the steps to make a delicious pizza. Mine was “Cheese pizza”. It is so easy. I needed only four main ingredients which were: cheese, flour, tomato paste, and oregano. I wanted to add more like mushrooms, or corn, but one of the groups took them. The hard step was when we wanted to prepare the dough! It needs specific measurements especially when you add water and oil. Another thing, we didn’t know how to use the oven. We are only 11! Teacher Lama did so. My friends prepared other types of pizza. I think we made the same recipe of flour, but we added different toppings.
Italian vibes are my favorite! Next time I will ask my mother to tell me how to prepare pasta.
