The Future of Education
Teaching is a noble career. For this reason, I want to become a teacher. However, I expect education to be different in the future than it is today. For me, this change will be positive. In this essay, I will talk about my expectations regarding education in the future, and what the educational methods and subjects will be like.
In the future, everything will depend on technology. Including work, communication, transportation, and education. There will be no schools or universities. Students will learn from their homes, or from wherever they want. Students will not need to get up early in order to go to schools or universities. They will be able to start learning any time they want during the day. This will have many benefits. Students who live in remote areas will be able to learn. Also, life will become easier because of the flexibility of education. In the future, education will be free and for everybody. Including poor students and students with special needs. Knowledge will not be limited to specific people. Another thing I expect about education in the future is that it will focus on developing students' personalities and skills. Besides the usual subjects, students will learn skills such as self-confidence, collaboration, problem-solving, brainstorming, decision-making, time management, organization, and thinking outside the box. The learning process will take place through the internet. Students will communicate with teachers and classmates via video chats and emails. Therefore, I expect that every student in the world will have a laptop. As for educational subjects, they will be turned into games and other fun activities. This will relieve the boredom of the students due to the lack of face-to-face communication with teachers and fellow students.
I expect the students in the future to be smarter. They will depend on themselves to learn. Moreover, their interests will tend to focus more on technology-related topics. In addition to topics that will benefit them in their future career.
