Summer Job
I like independent people. People who depend on themselves, and work hard to create their dream life. My brother is one of them he studies at the university, and work at the same time. He taught me that I should be responsible even if I am still young. I liked what my brother said, and I will start from now.
I am 14 years old. After finishing the school term, we have a one-month vacation. I used to spend it by watching movies, sleeping late, meeting friends, and a lot of free time. I start to plan to do something beneficial like reading books or helping my father, but I end up doing nothing. Now, we have a special, long vacation which is summer vacation, and it is a three-month holiday. I have to do something for myself, I mean something that can strengthen my skills, and shape my personality. My father guided me towards a part-time job, it is an unpaid job, so let’s say it is voluntary work. This job requires visiting more than one site especially neglected areas to paint the pavements, and to draw on walls. Those colorful makes the area full of life. We started last week, and I am really happy. I feel that I am doing something for myself and my family rather than playing video games. I can say that I am now a productive person. I am sure that this experience will add phenomenal things to my life. My network has been expanded, as a result, I became more sociable, and this made my parents very proud and happy.
I recommend all school students once they finish their final examinations to utilize their holidays and to seek a place where they can build new skills, know more people, and enjoy their life.
