My Free Time
A free time is the time you spend doing something for yourself instead of working or studying. Some people they tend to say” We don’t have any free time”, and I think this is inaccurate because your time is in your hand, you can control it, and it is not logical to study or to work during the whole day. You will notice your “free time” once you get back home, and lie on the couch, and the trick here is how to utilize this time.
I play too much. I spend more than four hours a day playing football outside, in the street, with my friends. My mother keeps telling me not to waste my study, and to play only during my free time, but I didn’t realize what’s the meaning of a free time till I asked my friend Omar on how he spends his free time, he told me” I get back home after school, and then I have lunch and I take a quick nap. After that I finish all my homework because my parents taught me that your future comes first and your future equals your study. My free time starts once I finish all my school and house duties. House duties for me as a 12 year- old boy are limited for helping my mother, and helping my father in the evening. I don’t catch my phone unless I make sure everything is done, at that moment, my free time starts. I spend it either by chatting with my friends or by playing pubg. Sometimes I play with my cat Mena or I go for a walk with my sister.” Omar has drawn my attention to the idea of prioritizing my life, and I think I need to find useful ways to utilize those priceless moments. For example, I can read short stories, or I can play mind games like crossword puzzles.
I will be more careful when it comes to my free time, and I will take it as a “mee time” to work on my skills and my personality.
