My Last Weekend

After a very exhausting, long week, I am super excited for the weekend. It is my only chance to spend time with my family since I spend all week studying and preparing for exams. In this essay, I will be telling you about my past weekend, how I spent it and what I normally do as a 7th-grade student.

Thursday night is literally the best. We all gather and we start arguing about what we are going to eat tomorrow. It is a controversial question. Unfortunately, my father always wins. Then, we make a bowl of popcorn, and we choose a new movie, and we watch it together. Sometimes, we utilize this night to go grocery shopping, since my grandparents visit us on Friday. Regarding last Thursday, I met my cousin Fadi, and we had dinner together. We ate Shawerma from downtown, and we tried a very tasty smoothie. My uncle drove us there, and we spent around three hours. It was an amazing night. After I got back home, I watched a horror movie with my father, and we chatted a bit with my uncle Husam. He lives in Australia. On Friday, I woke up at 8:00, and the sun was fascinating. I went to the bakery to bring Manakeesh for my family. It is near our house. They were hot and delicious. After having our breakfast, we went to pray Al Juma’a at the mosque, and there we met our neighbors. They are really nice and sweet, they insisted on us having some tea with them. Meanwhile, my mother prepared Maqlobeh, and my grandparents were there. I really love them. I prepared cards with questions about Al Aqsa Mosque and we made such exciting vibes.

To sum up, family moments are the best, especially in winter. I feel blessed and cozy between them.
