My Family
The concept of the family starts at birth and stays with you throughout your whole life. Your parents are your first role models. They act as a guide for you. They light your way. They keep pushing you towards your dreams, and their role won’t stop till a certain stage, but it will continue by your side. Family not only includes your parents, but also your brothers, your sisters, your grandparents, your uncles, and your aunts. This essay discusses the importance of being surrounded by a family.
I am Muna, and I have a big family. We used to live in the same house, but after my elder brothers graduated, they moved to Europe to complete their higher education. I live now with my parents, my mother Salma, and my father Mahmoud, and my sisters; Rama, Farah, and Juana. My paternal grandparents live with us since I was 5, and I really enjoy sitting with them because they tell us old stories about their place of origin. No doubt, I will never forget to mention our cutest niece “Yusef”, he is 4, and he can speak perfectly. He imitates everything he hears. You can call us “extended family” since we are over 22. My brother Rami is married, and he has one boy “Yusef”, and a beautiful girl “Alma”. They visit us every Friday, and we have lunch together. I am 13, and I am in grade seven. I normally play with Alma and Yusef, but now I feel I am much mature. I started to sit with my brother and my grandfather, they play chess for around 3 hours. Mmmmm, I think it’s boring! But I chat and laugh with them while playing.
Your family is your backbone. Hold their hands, and stay with them because you need each other.
