Why do we have to read?

Once we are adults, our parents, teachers, and even relatives keep telling us to read and to leave our mobiles, is it that important? Reading is a habit that you need to implement into your daily routine. It is like magic! Its results stay with you throughout your life as a weapon whenever you go and whatever you experience. This essay discusses the importance of reading, and how to make reading part of your day.

An American author once said:” There is no friend as loyal as a book”. He was right! Once you catch a book, you are going to imagine what you are reading, it will help you to draw a clear, pinkish picture in your mind. Reading will open you up to the world, it will let you see the other side of the river. By reading, you will discover your personality more, and you are going to find many hidden talents within yourself. In addition, the exercise of reading is super helpful because it stimulates your brain, and it makes your memory stronger and capable of realizing different situations and different characters. We have two main types of books for reading; academic books, and literary ones. Under academic books, we have historical books, medical books, etc. when it comes to literary books, you can read novels, short stories, or plays, so it is not necessary to read theoretical stuff only since there are other interesting choices. Now, let us discuss how you can make reading a habit. Add an extra 30 minutes every day to your to-do- list in order to read 2- 5 pages. Try to choose books that meet your interests. Turn- off your phone, make a cup of coffee, and enjoy those cozy moments.

To sum up, reading is not something you have to study or memorize, instead, it is an exercise that will support your journey, and make it much more enjoyable.
