I Am Adventurous

The word adventure is about experiencing unusual moments, or it is about being engaged in such a risky activity. As for me, I associate this word with nature. I feel that if you want to practice an activity out of your comfort zone, you should do it in nature. It has strong magic. It gives you this feeling of freedom and freshness. We have many adventurous activities such as scuba diving, skydiving, mountain climbing, etc. This essay tells us the story of Rama and her friends while they were on the school trip.

On the 12th of May, our school “Al Ahlam School” has arranged a day trip to Dibben Forest Reserve which is located in Jerash, Jordan. This amazing landscape is full of Aleppo pines that grow only in dry areas like Dibben. It is considered a mountain terrain area, and that makes her a bit risky. It was so hard for our school bus to reach the exact place, so we approached the top of the mountain by walking. It was the best experience I have ever had. My parents don’t normally allow me to join school trips since I am still 10, but this time, my teacher Sana convinced them. We settled for half an hour in order to catch our breath, then we prepared our sticks and our baskets, and we started to walk, and to collect pines. We made sure to wear rock climbing shoes, or as they call them “bouldering shoes”. They are super comfortable. Once the sun went down, we collected firewood, and we sat by the fire. I cannot describe that feeling of coziness as if we were camping.

If I had the chance to go again, of course, I will do it because I spent a wonderful time with my friends and with my lovely teachers. In the future, I will be a real adventurous, and I will exercise a lot so I can reach the peaks of mountains as I will reach the peaks of my dreams.
