Egypt: The Mother of the World


In the Arab world, there are many popular countries. Egypt is considered one of them. It is distinguished in its location, culture, food, and monuments. People from all over the world visit it to enjoy these things and more. And in this essay, I will talk about this wonderful country, based on a documentary film I watched about Egypt, and it provided me with new information about it.


Egypt is located in North Africa. It shares international borders with Sudan, Libya, and Palestine. It also shares maritime borders with Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, and Greece. The capital of Egypt is Cairo, which is one of its major cities. In Egypt, there are many other major cities, such as Alexandria, Luxor, Aswan, and Hurghada. The nature of Egypt is very special. It has deserts, beaches, valleys, and lakes. In addition, the Nile River is in Egypt, which is considered the second-longest river in the world, and the main source of water in the country. In the past, Egypt was the home of the ancient Egyptian civilization, which left many monuments, such as the pyramids and temples. Many tourists visit Egypt in huge numbers to see its monuments, and to discover its rich civilization. They also buy souvenirs that represent Egyptian civilization and culture, and take them home. Regarding Egyptian cuisine, it is famous for its delicious dishes, such as Koshary, Molokhia, Shakshouka, and Umm Ali. The taste of Egyptian food is special because different spices are used to prepare it. 


Egypt has a nickname, which is "The Mother of the World". This nickname proves that Egypt is an important country in the world, and that lots of people love it and wish to visit it. They say that a person who visits Egypt once wishes to visit it again. This is because of the breathtaking beauty of this country, which makes it impossible to forget. I hope to visit Egypt one day, and I am sure it will be an enjoyable and unforgettable experience.
