Obedience to Parents

Last week, the topic of one of the lessons I learned in school was about obedience to parents. I learned many things from that lesson, including the importance of obeying parents and how to do so. In this essay, I will talk about the most important things I have learned, and how they have changed my life.

Mother and father are a great blessing, and being obedient to our parents means to respect and appreciate them. Obedience to parents includes many things that can be done to make them happy and comfortable in their life, such as: behaving politely toward them, speaking to them in a proper way, helping them, taking care of them, and not making them angry. The main reason why we should obey our parents is to show our gratitude for the big effort they did for us, and the difficult times they also faced. As for the father, he goes to work early in the morning, and returns home late in the evening to provide for our needs. On the other hand, the mother is the one who looks after us every day, stays up all night when we are ill, and she is the source of the family's love and care. One of the interesting things that the teacher told us in the lesson is that obeying our parents brings good to our lives, and makes us succeed in all the things we do, such as studying, working, and personal life. In addition, I learned that if I obeyed my father and mother in my life, my children would obey me in the future. The teacher also told us something that I will keep in mind for the rest of my life, which is that when we are tired of obeying our parents, and no longer listen to them, or help them, then we must remember that our parents have never given up on us or felt tired of looking after us.

There is no way to return the favors that our parents have given us. And because of that obedience to parents is a must. It also makes us live a peaceful family life without problems. Therefore, I will always obey my parents, and avoid whatever disturbs them, for I appreciate all what they have done for me.
