The Importance of Water
We cannot live without water. We drink water every day to stay healthy and active. Thirst drains energy and makes daily tasks very hard. At home, we use water for cleaning, bathing, cooking, and other things. People are not the only ones who need water. Animals and plants also need it. Water is important as it is used in farming and food production. In school, teachers always tell us not to leave the water taps running. They tell us that water is a natural wealth that must be protected. This is because there are many people in the world who do not have water. We must be thankful for this blessing and save it.

Ways to Save Water
On March 22nd every year, the world celebrates World Water Day. Our school held activities and events to celebrate this occasion. I attended a lecture about ways to save water. The teacher told us that millions of people around the world suffer from water shortages. When we save it, we help them in a very simple way. Examples of these ways include: collecting and using rainwater, using the bucket to wash the car instead of the hose, fixing leaking pipes and broken toilets, taking shorter showers, turning off the water while brushing teeth, watering the plants with the watering can, and using water only as needed. I learned a lot of things from that event. Since then, I have been saving water. So that the world becomes a better place for all of us.

Amazing Facts about Water
My favorite subject at school is science. It teaches me wonderful things about everything in the world. Today, I am going to talk about the water lesson, and the new information I learned. 70% of the human body is made up of water. All cells and organs need it to function. A person can live without water for only three days. There are three states of water: solid, liquid, and gas. Water is made of two elements, which are oxygen and hydrogen. Water has no calories because it does not contain fat, carbs, or protein. Moreover, 70% of the Earth's surface is covered by water. It exists in many forms. Like oceans, seas, and rivers. Many regions of the world suffer from water shortages. One of the reasons for this is climate change. For this, we must save water and avoid wasting it.
