Healthy Food Vs. Unhealthy Food
We eat unhealthy food at home and at school because it makes us feel full for a long time. It has many flavors and it tastes really good. Examples of unhealthy food are sweets, sugary drinks, fried food, and fast food. A while ago, our school ran an awareness campaign about healthy and unhealthy foods. That campaign changed my life for the better. In this essay, I will talk about my experience with healthy and unhealthy foods. In addition to the difference between them.
The goal of that campaign was to get students to stop eating unhealthy foods. It aimed to encourage them to eat healthy foods that support their growth. The campaign included a number of lectures and activities. The teachers told us that the type of food affects not only the body. It also affects the brain and mood. They said that unhealthy food causes obesity, which in turn causes diseases like diabetes. Unhealthy food can cause low energy levels. Moreover, it weakens the immune system, disrupts sleep, causes anxiety, causes skin problems, and affects brain health. This is because unhealthy food lacks nutrients. It is rich in calories, sugar, unhealthy fats, and sodium. On the other hand, healthy food provides us with the energy we need to perform daily activities. Its benefits include: strengthening the immune system, maintaining a healthy weight, improving mood, improving sleep quality, improving memory, and reducing the risk of disease. Examples of healthy food are fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and dairy products. Such food is rich in nutrients that we need to lead a healthy life. It also helps us to carry out daily activities without feeling tired.
After that campaign, I started to lead a healthy lifestyle. Currently, I eat healthy food every day, and I bring a lunch box with me to school. And I encourage my family and friends to eat foods that are good for their health. That campaign taught me a lot of things. The most important of which is that a healthy mind in a healthy body.
