Animal Welfare

Animals have feelings. They feel pain when they are hurt. And they feel sad when their loved ones die. Because animals have lived with humans on Earth for a long time, the term animal welfare appeared. This term indicates that humans care about animals. In this essay, I will talk about animal welfare and its aspects. I will also talk about why it is important for both humans and animals.

Animal welfare means caring for animals, and not causing any harm to them. Animal welfare takes into consideration that animals are living things, just like humans, and have emotions. It also considers that animals are affected by good or bad treatment. There are many aspects of animal welfare. Such as: sheltering animals, feeding them, and taking them to the vet when they are sick. In addition to not scaring or torturing them. Other aspects of animal welfare include: not separating baby animals from their mothers, not torturing an animal in any form, and not feeding animals spoiled food. Just as animal welfare is important to animals, it is also important to humans. It helps them to feel their humanity, and generates positive feelings, such as kindness and compassion. On the other hand, treating animals with cruelty develops negative feelings, such as hate. Many people who harm animals consider these creatures as inanimate objects. Such people must be made aware. And this is what animal welfare organizations do, which protect animals from the harm of these people.

Parents should teach their children to be kind to animals. They should also be kind to animals in front of their children because they will imitate them when they grow up. Children should also be taught that animals are friends of humans, and that a friend never hurts his friend in any way.
